Pointe de Penvins: kitesurfers' paradise!

At 15 km from the campsite, the beach of Penvins is a lovely family beach, well appreciated by tourist, but also by lovers of water sports. This beach runs from Penvins to St Jacques via the site of the Suscinio castle. The Pointe de Penvins separates the coast in two beaches: the small beach of Penvins and the one of Landrezac, called the main beach of Penvins.

Surrounded by dunes and rocks topped by the chapel of Notre-Dame-de-la-Côte, the big fine sand beach of Penvins is one of the most lively beaches of Sarzeau. Lovers of kitesurfing, windsurfing and stand-up-paddle have found the ideal conditions to practise their favourite sport on this southern part of the Rhuys peninsula.

This west oriented beach has also become a great kiting spot. If you're looking to try water sports, the Sailing School offers classes and private lessons of kitesurfing or stand-up-paddle. The beach of Penvins carries the "Handi-Plage" label (disabled access) with the possibility to hire a water wheelchair at the first aid station.

To get to the beach of Penvins: take the Route de la Grée (parking space near the beach), at 20 minutes driving from the Camping*** Les Genêts.
